The Feeling of accomplishment

Being an adult and returning to school is a challenge. Now being a Mother and Wife while returning to school is a even bigger challenge. At the age of 32 I finally finished something I should have accomplished about 8 years ago. While most of my high school friends started college right after high school graduation I did with many failed attempts. I attended class everyday, but I would sit mid class against the wall to prop me up while I slept. With my new found freedom of adulthood I did whatever I wanted to. Even though I wanted to succeed I just didn't have the actual gumption to finish anything.

Now I am 32 years old graduating with 3 degrees and transferring to a university in the fall. There is no longer time to procrastinate nor give up.

I want everyone to know that this feeling of accomplishment is worth all the sweat, tears and glory. Especially,  if you have children. My friend who is a few years older than me graduated along side me last week. She has 2 Littles who found out she had the opportunity to walk on stage and recieve her diplomas. She said she really didn't want to attend, but these 2 precious kiddos made her go. They told her she had no choice because she had worked so hard to accomplish this 1st step of her whole life.

This is the reason mom's go back to school. To prove not only to all those people who told them they would never amount to anything that in fact they can be successful. Also, to be a leader in their family and set the best example for their children.  So, when your think about an education or a new path in life just remember, si se puede! You can do it!!!
